40-Hour Basic Hazardous Waste Worker

OSHA requires this course for workers on hazardous waste sites. The course includes classroom learning and realistic hands-on activities. Workers practice remediation and decontamination activities while wearing the proper respirator and protective clothing. Upon successful completion of this course, each worker receives a "40-Hour Card" that certifies the worker to do hazardous waste work for 12 months, at which time OSHA requires the worker to take a Refresher Course. Requirements: DOT medical or Dr. Release for respirator
